3D IPA showcases the three dimensions of a classic West Coast IPA: hops, hops and more hops! It features hefty additions of American hops on a NZ malt base. The resinous, citrus and tropical fruit qualities of the hops shine through. This is the perfect beer for hop-heads!
Gold medal winner, 3D IPA earned a place in the winning "Top 30" selection at the New World Beer and Cider Awards 2021 and again in the "Top 25" selection in 2025. It came up trumps, being awarded as the Supreme Winner, the overall champion of almost 700 entries in this competition.
We first brewed 3D in 2014, back when we used to use glass bottles, which we labelled and capped by hand! 3D has evolved over time, as the IPA style has evolved. The malt profile has become lighter, as the style has modernised. Expect notes of pine resin, and ripe orange backed up by a solid malt backbone with hints of caramel. It has an initial sweetness balanced by a bitter kick.
