For International Womens Day we were part of a collaboration brew with Sprig and Fern and Pink Boots NZ
To celebrate International Women's Day, Pink Boots Society NZ members got together for an epic brew day! We visited the Clayton Hops Korere farm and had a tour before collecting our own Riwaka hops and bringing them back to the Sprig and Fern Brewery.
We were hosted by Master Brewer Tracy Banner and brewed our Fresh Hop Bright IPA named Field Trip. It was a fantastic day brewing with some delightfully aromatic hops in the presence of some wonderful company and participating in a beer sensory training session with Tracy. Sales of the Field Trip Bright IPA support the Pink Boots Society's mission to empower women and non-binary people in the fermented beverage industry.

The Pink Boots Society (PBS) is a non-profit organisation with international membership which supports women and non-binary people working in the fermented beverages and allied industries. The majority of its members are involved with craft beer. The organisation helps women fermented beverage professionals advance their careers through educational opportunities, as well as mentorship, networking with other women in the profession, and raising awareness of women in these male-dominated industries. PBS also encourages women brewers to further their education and helps teach the skills needed to become beer judges. PBS raises money for scholarships for women to continue their education in brewing. There are around 2,500 members across the world.
